EUROPA
EUROPA (2016)
“EUROPA” – Between Myth, Human, Animal, and Boundary Experience
The story of Europa and Zeus – a god in animal form, a woman between worlds – symbolizes transformation and the crossing of boundaries. As the origin of Europe, it points to the constant negotiation of identity, connection, and change.
The sculpture engages with this myth and asks: Where is the boundary between human and animal – and does it even truly exist? From an anthropological perspective, such separations are cultural constructs that are always shifting. In encounters with the animalistic – in others and within ourselves – a shared sensibility is revealed.
The sculpture becomes a bridge between form and emotion, human and animal, myth and the present. It invites reflection on our in-between state – as feeling, transformative beings in a shared world.

Out of Reach (2025)

Dimension: 75 × 29 × 36 cm I 16 kg

Male Torso
This male torso, sculpted from flamed wood and coated with aluminum, embodies strength and resilience. The interplay between organic warmth and metallic surface reflects the duality of human nature – raw vitality on the one hand, and enduring presence on the other.
The sculpture speaks of masculinity not as rigid dominance, but as an energy that radiates power, endurance, and transformation. The aluminum sheath enhances the dynamic form, giving it both protection and brilliance, while the charred wood beneath reveals depth, history, and elemental force.
As an art piece, this torso celebrates the timeless archetype of male strength, captured in a material dialogue between fire, wood, and metal.

"EXPLOITATION" – Wood Sculpture (2023)
"EXPLOITATION" is a powerful sculpture made of wood and molten metal, depicting the Earth from which oil – the planet’s blood – flows. This 230 cm high sculpture symbolizes the greed for fossil fuels and the destructive desire for power and resources that lead our world to the brink of destruction.
The Earth, ecosystems, biodiversity, and ultimately humanity itself suffer from this exploitation. The flowing oil, represented by dripping metal, becomes a symbol for the resource-exploitative actions of humankind and the unstoppable destruction of the planet. This sculpture tells the story of a world driven by our insatiable greed for more, for unlimited growth and control, pushing it into pain and death.
"EXPLOITATION" is a striking reflection on the urgent need to reconsider our relationship with the Earth and its resources before the planet becomes unable to recover. This work stands for responsibility and awareness, a theme I have long grappled with.

It represents the connection between humans and nature, urging reflection on the consequences of our actions.
"MULTISPECIES" serves as a reminder of our global responsibility to protect the planet and its diverse life forms. It challenges the viewer to consider the ethical and ecological implications of our choices and to recognize the pain of nature as a reflection of our own humanity.

“RIFT” – Thoughts on Division (2025)
This contemporary wood sculpture, made of walnut and partially charred, addresses one of the most urgent issues of our time: division. At its core lies the theme of duality — between male and female, individual and society, nature and culture. The burned groove carved into the wood symbolizes the rift that runs through all dimensions of human connection: intimate relationships, partnerships, international affairs, environmental interactions, and our overall way of life.
This artwork offers a reflection on social division. It points to humanity’s growing inability to truly see, acknowledge, and value the other in their full complexity. Whether in romantic relationships, professional dynamics, or global contexts, we are constantly confronted with misunderstanding — a rupture rooted in a lack of empathy, awareness, and the imposition of false hierarchies.
The charred crack is more than a physical mark. It represents emotional and psychological fractures — the invisible distances that separate people. “Togetherness instead of opposition” is not merely an idealistic slogan here; it is a vital necessity. When others — whether partners, colleagues, or the living world itself — are not seen as equal in value, the consequence is isolation, destruction, and the inner collapse of the self.
This sculpture operates on two levels:
– Macrosocial: Ongoing exploitation of natural resources, environmental degradation, and systemic devaluation of communities will ultimately lead to the extinction of our own species.
– Microsocial: In personal relationships, the absence of mutual understanding and respect leads to the erosion of affection, the breakdown of trust, and ultimately to emotional emptiness and psychological disconnection.
This contemporary wood sculpture is both a warning and a call for awareness. The rift is real — but not irreversible. It urges us to reflect on how we live, how we love, and how we coexist.

THE GAME – A Sculpture Symbolizing the Game of Life and Human Relationships
The sculpture "THE GAME" unites two bodies – male and female – into a single artistic form, representing the complex game of life and the dynamics of relationships. With a shared head, symbolizing a common vision and aligned purpose, the figures still retain their individuality and distinct identities. This tension between unity and independence is further highlighted through the interplay of warm walnut wood and cool stainless steel – a striking contrast that reflects the multifaceted nature of relationships, personal journeys, and life itself.

“The Path of Insight – The Journey of Three Lives (2023)"
This contemporary wooden sculpture captures the timeless journey of human existence — Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow. It stands as a powerful symbol of personal growth, transformation, spiritual awakening, and inner evolution.
The first figure is hunched over, confined within itself — a reflection of the past, burdened by uncertainty, hesitation, and the constraints of social conventions. Yet within this figure lies the seed of change.
As the journey unfolds, the figure begins to rise, moving through the process of transformation. This stage represents the search for knowledge, the struggle with life’s challenges, and the maturation of the spirit. It embodies the moments of learning, fighting, and awakening — the essence of human evolution.
The final figure stands open and liberated, chest expanded, breathing deeply for the first time. This is the moment of enlightenment, the release from old bonds, and the embrace of wisdom. The posture reflects not only personal freedombut also a collective liberation, symbolizing the individual’s evolution within society and the shedding of outdated patterns.
The Path of Insight is a pursuit of harmony, self-awareness, and spiritual clarity. The three figures represent the cyclical nature of time — past, present, and future — while also symbolizing the unity of body, mind, and soul.
This sculpture serves as a mirror to our own existence, telling a universal story of personal growth, overcoming inner limitations, and the profound liberation that comes through self-discovery. It invites the viewer to see themselves in its forms and to embark on their own path to wisdom.

"IVORY”
Feeding the ego gives rise to power and greed, the driving forces behind all exploitation that has accompanied humanity since time immemorial. Ivory, a highly traded luxury good, still contributes to the decimation of African elephants. In the 1930s, there were 11 million free-roaming savanna elephants across Africa. Poaching, which indirectly funds wars and terrorism, trophy hunting, and habitat destruction reduced the population to 415,000 animals, and the trend is downward. With each dead elephant, ivory becomes even more exclusive, fueling the ego, power, and greed. The history of elephants epitomizes the generalized exploitation of all beings.
